That sounds moreso about the individuals Shanahan and Lynch rather than what's best for the team. Unless you are willing to chalk Buckner and Armstead up as "charged to the game" you have to admit that your logic is shallow. No offense

Also, there is no possible situation where you have too much DL.

I'm sure Shanahan has a plan for the offense as well. This is a deep draft and they just added two more picks. I imagine one of those will be used to add a high quality RB prospect such as Kareem Hunt. They will likely add a QB somewhere along the way as well and more overall weapons in general.

But in anycase, this is not a 1 or 2 year rebuild process, its going to take time but they kicked off well with an excellent prospect that has All Pro upside IMO.

But it can sure leave the team short in other areas. A WR might be a nice change or a QB even.
Nah, why change the winning formula?

Baalke would've made that trade but in reverse
Fact is, we have to stop the run and pressure the QB. We sucked at doing both. Nice f**king pick.

They are going to build the roster however they want. If they want to replace players, that is their prerogative. Obviously Thomas is who they had as BPA.

#6YearContractLife

I understand this but "how I want" is the absolute wrong approach. It should be "what is best". If we drafted DL the last 2-3 years and signed a good dl man, it would only behove me to focus on other positions of need like.......CB. WR, etc

Worst run defense in the history of the 49ers. I think DL was a major need as well. You don't need just 1 or 2 guys. Thomas complements what Buckner does. You might be upset now, you won't be once you see Thomas start taking QB's down.
People having a damn melt down like this is the end of the draft. ITS 1 PICK GUYS! The draft is not over.

Well, we still have 11 picks to go. IMO, the absolute blue chip positions are QB, DL, OL and pass rusher. If you are picking in the top 5 these are the position I feel like you are best served looking at.

What is best is the move that lead to winning. Winning starts in the trenches and the 49ers got their asses kicked there last season.
