So what. Would rather he accept it and move on than try to make something work that just isn't a fit.

It's fine he accepts it but it doesn't mean he didn't mess up. It's still a major strike against him and should factor in if he should keep his job.

Goes to show what a complete crapshoot the draft is. Lynch drafted one of the best players in the 2017 draft but bombed the first round.

Probably a fifth round pick at best.
I think Solobust Thomas is worth a second or third. He sucked on the inside and outside of the DLine so I'd rather he be someone else's problem.

Why would someone give a second or third if he sucked everywhere

Of course it factors in. it does for every GM who ever missed on a high draft pick. That would be just about every GM who ever held that position. Lynch isn't the only guy who ever missed on his first rounder. The great Walsh had his share of misses too.

This. Can't believe all the hate on Lynch. I believe Solly was graded out as a top 10 pick anyway, wasn't he?

I've said it a million times the dude is a bust, he is just not good enough. There is just no other way to say it.

Then, the Solomon Thomas homers try to give me crap for it. Is just a matter of time, accept it.

That's terrible.. after we spent the #3 first round pick on him!
Can we also package AA with him?

He was being hailed as exec of the year after trading down, still getting his guy, then landing a potential top5 talent at the end of the first.

It hasn't worked out, but it looked like a great first draft at the time. I'm glad he's realizing it's time to cut our losses and move forward.

This as much as anything. Its borderline impossible to tell how much his sisters suicide affected last season but it wasnt a #3 overall season by a long shot. I still will give him credit for the trade, would of been WAY worse if we just had Soloman at 2.

He just strikes me as cerebral but not hungry/aggressive on the field

It's the type of mistake that sets the team back. He should be an impact player, the type of player you build your team around.
