Film doesn't lie. Kocurek probably knew right away no amount of coaching can salvage a bust.

I hope they can get anything for him at this point, I just don't want him on the team. Utter waste of a pick that I think many of us knew at the time. His bust will be placed next to Kentwan Balmer's on the wall of busts at 49ers Museum.
No doubt about it. It was more than apparent early on he was already like a fish out of water. But, of course the Solomon Thomas apologists would blame it on playing him in the wrong position. It was just blatantly clear on film that he had no explosiveness nor power required at the pro level. Yep, he has to be one of the biggest busts in recent years. He should be in the HOF of 49ers busts.
Have you seen JD's video analysis? He's quick and strong enough.
Not a bust. His heart was broken.
It would be a mistake to ship him.
