The Solomon pick was, at the time, labeled the safest pick in the draft. High motor, high character, smart kid. Almost all the mock drafts had him going to us including ESPN. Don't be history revisionists. It was deemed a smart, widely accepted pick at the time.
The Foster pick was unanimously labeled the steal of the draft and early on we thought it too. He had Pro Bowl written all over him.
Sometimes picks don't work out. Sometimes people flake out. That's the name of the game. Do I wish they would both have turned into All-Stars for us? YES!
Am I mad at Lynch because they didn't? No. Neither was a reach or considered, at the time, a bust.
Now moving forward...DO BETTER LYNCH! Let's go!
Nonsense. Their job is to get it right and not pick the Solomon Thomas and Fosters of the draft. You're the one revising history, I'm saying they got it wrong and I expect results and accountability.
This is how far this franchise has fallen. Blowing two first rounders in year 1 of a rebuild is understandable now.

It is literally his job.

Lynch just emphatically denied they were shopping Thomas.

Woot Woot

John Lynch on trading Solomon Thomas: "That's not accurate." Said he had Thomas in his office today and that Thomas and Armstead mostly will be rushing from the inside this season.
