I think it's more of layered contingency. Bosa is gone? QW is the pick and then we move a guy or we trade out if someone wows us with a package to come get Murray. Gotta have a plan A,B, and C

I am not upset at Lynch for Solomon or for Foster.

The Solomon pick was, at the time, labeled the safest pick in the draft. High motor, high character, smart kid. Almost all the mock drafts had him going to us including ESPN. Don't be history revisionists. It was deemed a smart, widely accepted pick at the time.

The Foster pick was unanimously labeled the steal of the draft and early on we thought it too. He had Pro Bowl written all over him.

Sometimes picks don't work out. Sometimes people flake out. That's the name of the game. Do I wish they would both have turned into All-Stars for us? YES!

Am I mad at Lynch because they didn't? No. Neither was a reach or considered, at the time, a bust.

Now moving forward...DO BETTER LYNCH! Let's go!

Nonsense. Their job is to get it right and not pick the Solomon Thomas and Fosters of the draft. You're the one revising history, I'm saying they got it wrong and I expect results and accountability.

This is how far this franchise has fallen. Blowing two first rounders in year 1 of a rebuild is understandable now.
s**t happens. not everything works out, good lord. you give lynch credit for getting jimmy and dee ford.. well then you hold him accountable for foster thomas. resigning ward etc. you can not have it both ways

Jury is still out on Ford and jimmy g. Anyone of us knuckle heads can get the obvious ones, that being said, I absolutely expect the front office of the 5x super bowl champions sf 9ers to be one of the best in the league. Any team can be mediocre at drafting, I expect the best minds in the sport. If they aren't , I want them fired and new people in there because I actually spend money going to games.

Yes and sometimes good GMs have unfortunate moments. John and Kyle want to win and I know they can so I will support them.
Thank god now we can put Bosa at edge and move Solly back inside WHERE HE BELONGS

A potent DL!!!!
If Solomon had the versatility to play 3-4 NT sometimes in college, I think he is perfectly capable of playing inside on the rotation.

Yup. Clearly.

Everything is set up for this guy to succeed. Two top flight edge rushers and Defo taking up all the attention. If he can't get it done this season, there's no excuses left for the guy. Can't play the sister card the rest of his career.
