we have the ENDS, Buckie manning the DT.. it's just one hole .. he needs to produce.

We still have Aweak ArmHurts who's still trying to prove he's not a bust.. and the ENIGMA.......... JULIAN TAYLOR

They're still talking about throwing out at BE/LEO in base. As long as he's being tossed in at DT outside of base I'm cool.

I'm not gonna give this coaching staff the benefit of the doubt in playing players where their strengths are...not until I see it

He has to produce this year. If he has a worse pressure rate from the interior than Armstead (like he had last year) and less than 7 sacks... we need to resign Blair to an extension and let this guy walk.

That's coachbtjordan. Worked with solly last year as well. He worked with many of the top pass rushers in the draft this year. Solly also looked good in drills last year with him so we'll see. Won't know s**t until we see him actually play.

Haha sorry man. Actually just found an interview he did last year on it

Like anyone else needed to say it... but of course. Everyone besides our staff realized this.

Best utilization of Thomas on the 49ers:

"I think the way they're using him now on first and second down, and run downs, having him play that end is perfect. Then third down, put him inside, let him use his speed and athletic ability against the guard. When I watched that first game, I thought that's the perfect way to use him.

Was kidding. I understand the cynicism with Thomas. Personally I think he's going to be a monster with all the talent around him. And while Bosa and Ford may miss time with injuries, this guy is going to be a rock.

Yea I knew you were playin. Just wanted to throw in that interview for everyone . Was a good read.

Solly seems like a smart dude who gets a lot of praise for his hard work. But so far can't put it together on that field. I think he can be good if he can put it all together and get passed the issues he had to deal with. Sure he has a loaded line now. But it's not like he was doubled all year long. He had many 1v1s and didn't do s**t. He will still be tasked with beating his man this year. Maybe he can be expected to have a higher percentage of 1v1s since offenses gotta worry about Buck/Ford/Bosa now.

At the same time, if he isn't killin it out the gates then I don't want to see him forced in that line. We got guys like Blair who need to be getting snaps and can't be benched for a struggling player just because he was picked number 3.

One sack in '18 is unacceptable.

I'm not on thl08's level, but from my understanding he had a lot of "read and react" responsibilities last season. This year they're switching it up and he can be more aggressive which matches his style of play. I honestly can't think of another player in the Shanalynch era who has been played more out of position than Solly.

True. He was used as a spy a lot. Very few actual real interior pass rush opportunities.
Interesting comments on the new scheme.

I actually think he will show significant improvement and be a very pleasant surprise for us this year.

I think the new d-line coach is perfect for him. I am excited to see and him lined up next to these other studs- look out!
Show this man some love...his teammates sure do.
