the two guys you mentioned will always spin the niners in a good way and they are more than willing to distribute the lynch and kyle talking points when it comes to ward for example.. they do not want to have their access to players and sources stopped which it will if they do negative stories.. that is the way it works.,, its called playing the game

Cohn at this point gets off on the negative attention. He knows what's getting him talked about - the instigator.

Now sure the reporter was blowing smoke up the coaches ass but Grant is looking to ask questions which don't really do much but instigate. He's trying it with the 49ers, Raiders and Warriors and whatever other team he gets the chance to cover.

You know he wants bad stuff to happen to this team because that's what gets more attention and brings out the best in him. He lives off bad drafts, front office discord, coaching concerns, player injuries, player's lack of performance. And that's fine...if you want to be a troll/negative type of reporter just because you know it brings attention to you stick with it. Just don't turn around and bash other people whose father didn't get them a nice media job with team access who don't soak up everything you're spitting as ultimate truth.

Grant is a "fan" with media credentials. That is all. I use quotes around fan because he definitely isn't and admitted as much and that's fine as well but his ability to criticize and ridicule the team and their coaches/players/etc is just like a fan. We all have opinions. I'd put Grant's football knowledge on a much lower level than many members of this site. Now if he wants to record stuff and STFU that's cool.

His hot takes can go away.

And back to Sully...he's clearly not one of his guys so until Sully steps up his game and makes Grant look like a giant flaming turd I'm sure Cohn will keep taking jabs at him when he can.

Hopefully Thomas shuts him up soon enough. It will be the best thing for this team.

That's simply not true at all...if you follow and read both matt's you will see it's not always rainbows and unicorns.

If the only way you could get access to the team is by throwing out positive stuff, how in gods green earth is Grant able to be at pressers, games, and every training camp???? So no that's not true.

They report and don't make s**t up, Grant "reports" opinionated articles/tweets/videos based on his "expertise" as a QB/WR/DB/DL coach or if he was the GM.

It's basically like if I was given access like he has and was able to have the same platform as him.

Kawakami is an actual professional writer. He was a respected sports columnist before he came to the Bay Area. Cohn is a nepotism case. If it weren't for daddy he'd be the second shift assistant manager at a Dairy Queen.
