#49ers' Solomon Thomas has been working with All-Pro DT Aaron Donald this offseason.

One of the better offseason storylines this year has been Thomas as he looks to rebound in year three.

It's never going to be easier than it will be this year, with Buckner, Bosa, and Ford commanding attention. It's now or never for him.
It's definitely now or never. If he breaks out though our DL can be truly special. I don't want to think about it because I feel like when I get really excited about something like that it never works out :(
But assuming they all stay healthy and play up to their potential....a DL of Bosa, Buckner, Thomas, Ford is the best in the league and can definitely get our defense to another level.
If Solly breaks out, and Bosa/Ford live up to expectation, our DL is the best in the league hands down not even close imo. They have to do it obviously, and it's a big if, but it's certainly fun to think about.

Will he still be a bust? Some will still think so since the 1st two years were wasted. I say no if he lives up to his promise. Just give us a few good years.

This is the truth.

I felt bad for this kid last year. I have 3 sisters and cannot imagine losing any of them let alone to suicide.
That said, though I didn't like him as an outside rusher, I absolutely loved the pick if they kept him inside. Which since that's now seemingly where he'll play FT, I cannot wait to see what he does with a clear mind and a healthy frame.

Great, where's Kocurek playing him and how often and on which downs?
"This year you can just see a determination in him, and a freedom, like the shackles have been taken off, the weight has been lifted off his shoulders and he's just really been getting after it."

This.A close one committing suicide is earth shattering. I cringe when someone expects a player to ,"do his job," at the highest level right after a traumatizing event like that.
Rooting for Solly.

I feel like we hear this kind of stuff every year. I hope it's all true, but I remain skeptical.

In the pic a few pages back , while working with Donald, Solly looks like....well...TWO Sollys. Man he got big...in all the right places. It really looks like he is putting the maximal effort in and now we just have to wait and see how it works out. Right now, lookiing at his condition, plus the extra instruction he is getting.... my money is on him having a yr like the #3 pick he is.
And the small addition of Bosa, Dee, and Kwon won't hurt. Shucks, he also is playing next to Buck. Hmmmm....i like his chances to be a big part of the best DL out there. That statement will have a lot of "IFs" in it, but i can see it.

It's that time of the year when every team is optimistic about their chances but most have a lot of ifs. IF they can stay healthy. IF this player or that player is as good as expected. IF the team can improve in a certain area. It's all part of the game and it changes every year.
