Totally. It also sounds nicer if Malcolm Smith loses his job to Reuben vs. a rookie. And since the MIKE relays the communication, it will be easier to justify keeping him in there for defensive continuity. It's all part of the master plan.

Exactly, he put himself in that position. He's supposed to be a professional representing the 49ers, he needs to have the foresight to walk away from a situation before it escalates. He didn't and now he's suffering the consequences.

And whatever happened to the guns and the weed part in your quote.

Yup, he's pretty much out of any get out of jail cards. If he Jaywalks, that's it man - 10 years in prison and out of the league permanently.

Yeah, I'd like him to appeal too, but it's just 2 games and it's over. Painful, but over and not hanging over his head for the next two years.
