Sorry seen it

And worse. It was reported that it wasnt a clean tear, possibly MCL and some other damage too. He will have a lengthier than usual rehab ahead of him it seems. Feel bad for the guy. Even if he is a knucklehead, that sucks.

Read something he also has artery damage somewhere in the knee. Don't know specifically what artery.

It's being called a "major and significant injury". I'm thinking it's a career ender.

Yeah, You worry he will go the way of Aldon.

He was a risky pick, sad he bungled his way off the Niners. Also sad to se him hurt. Glad it's not our problem anymore.

He didn't f**k the team over. The team f**ked themselves over picking a LB in the first round with reported attitude problems, undersized AND an injury history, other teams thought his shoulder surgery didn't take but of course we thought it was fine. They took a risk that 30 other teams didn't want to take that early and we paid for it.

Meh it was seen as a great value at the time. You get a Top 5 level prospect late in the 1st? People were nutting all over Arizona and Seattle for doing the same thing. You gamble, sometimes it works out, sometimes it blows up in your face.

The good thing is that they made up for it with their acquisitions of Warner and Alexander and are now looking pretty much exclusively at high character players.

That gamble was a little too high for me anyways. His size and play style, along with the injuries were a huge concern. This dude would throw himself around like a human cannonball. All while having a jacked up shoulder. Then add in the fact that that specific draft still had plenty talent. It wasn't like a Myles jack gamble. It was much riskier.

But still you're right overall on that point. Sometimes you gotta take that gamble if you think he can be the guy. But what must concern everyone is that if they're telling the truth, they were ready to take him at 3 if solly was gone. Sure it was their first draft. Still scary though.

Alexander was suspended 4 games for PEDs. So there goes that theory. He blamed an energy drink for it.

Yeah we totally screwed the Bears over that night

They moved down a spot and still got the guy they were going to take in the first place.

Meanwhile the picks they received turned into Pettis and Warner.

Move down a spot and add two starters to your team because Pace panicked over possibly losing Mr Biscuit? I'll take it.

Not only did we get a way better deal the saints were making that gamble as we swooped in and took him. Not a horrible gamble for such a talented player at 31

Pettis is gonna be very good and Warner Is already there. What a great draft last year absolutely terrific job

This sums up my feelings... I was so disappointed with Foster, and even more upset when the Redskins picked him up...something is wrong with the system that ends up penalizing the team that does the right thing and releases a player like Foster or Hunt who have had issues, but allows another team to pick him up and play him right away, or after a few suspended games.

I am sorry he has such a serious injury, but glad the Redskins didn't benefit from getting him.

Perfectly stated. My feelings exactly. Maybe after suspension the original team that drafted him still has his rights and don't have to release him. After the punishment is served then the team can decide to release him or not. Rather than the knee jerk reaction to release a player, even if it is well deserved like foster or hunt. It's a huge investment for a lot of teams and eventually they might want to reap the possible rewards

If I owned an NFL team then I would do what's best for the team and couldn't care less about the court of public opinion.

I can't hate on the Foster pick. He was a phenomenal player. He didn't work out but I still feel better about taking a chance on him than I did about picking Armstead at #17 or Garnett at #28.
Only "good" thing about this is it happened on another team.

As big a dick as he is, I don't get any pleasure from this.

We never had to release him but the blowback wasn't worth it. That's just the nature of the beast

Very true. We almost had to with how the public opinion was. However, maybe a rule of thumb should be the team can release the player after the court process instead of right away. Anyway, it was probably better for the team and now we have Kwon
