If he wants it let him have it. Just like Barkley wanted #7 he got it.

This is just "due diligence" on Kyle & john's part. Smart. Necessary if you want to snake a top 5 talent at #31, and still feel good about it. The fact they had Keena spend some time with him too...that just shows they were being careful...double checking. All for the good, all for the good.

Interesting pick...
As an Auburn fan I raised my eyebrows on this.
As solid as Ruben is... I don't think he reads the offense well... there is still coaching upside to be had here.
There are times in the last two years where Bama lined him up 7 yards back off the ball, maybe to give him more reaction time. Basically turned him in to cruise missle like you would a free safety.
I really like the pick, not really because of first downs, but because this guy could be an amazing nickel and dime coverage guy too. He is safety"ish" with out the ball sense.
3 down linebacker

Our front 7 is going to be nasty. No more running all over us, I can promise you that!

Besides the above did he have any issues in college?
Not sure.
All I heard during the draft was that the medical on his shoulder(s) had come back bad and some vague rumors about more character stuff coming up.
Supposedly he got into it with a medical assistant in a lab or X-ray/ MRI dept, who made him wait...and then wait some more, and he got ticked off, and said something. Sounds like something I have done and not just once either. On the pee test I dunno about that.

Mayoc kept alluding to hearing something serious about Fosters shoulder and it being why he slipped so far. Anyone have any detailed info on what might be the injury that allowed such a talented player slip so stinking far?

Whats the deal with his shoulder? I know it's a rotator cuff thing but is that the only shoulder issue he's had?

That would be ideal since Malcom sucks in coverage.
Will - R. Foster
Sam - M. Smith/Brooks
Mike - Bowman
If Bowman gets hurt.. could Malcom Smith play Mike?

Would probably be Foster moving to Mike and Smith playing the will.

"Froster" arrives and we got a Cold Stone Tackling machine where previously our coolness factor was Michael Wilhoite who could best be described as the reverse of a Heat Seeking Missile...I'd say the improvement factor is as big as the Iceberg that sunk the Titanic.
