Who said anything about the run? What happens when he's 1 on 1 on the outside against a physical wide receiver? WR catches a 5 yard pass near the sideline, shoves witherspoon to the ground and jogs 80 yards for a TD?

Holy crap this kid gets me hyped up!! Could get better at tackle angles but Jesus can he swat a few passes and get in your way. Very good hip display, and i think his play will compliment Robinson's. I think this kid will be an above average starter on this team, especially after a season.

I think this will clear the air fellas, John Lynch addressed his tackling and asked him about it. They feel comfortable he has the ability to get it cleaned up.
(He might of showed Witherspoon the very tape kronik is speaking of)

If you've played or coached high school or above, you see that there are those who hit and tackle with a football-degree of violence and there are those who lack the mental makeup for that behavior.
I really dont believe you can alter a players desire to hit all that much.

Hope he can develop that passion to tackle. If he does. he has some awesome tools to be a great CB.

You have a good point, just letting them know how Lynch sees it. I hope he is right? If not, thats a decision that he has to own or live with, if this project goes south.

there's a huge difference in tackling a guy that is already in front on you and doesn't have a running head start (most cases with a WR making a catch), then tackling a RB coming at you at full speed with a 300 LB tackle blocking for him. you understand that right?

Just curious. Do you have any footage of that happening this year? Or, are you just going by reports that his tackling needs work? I would love to see all of this poor tackling.
I remember when Deion was ripped for avoiding contact and not being a good tackler too. Not saying this kid is Deion by any stretch but if he can defend the pass and cover that is the #1 trait of a great corner.
Also, John Lynch was one of the toughest tacklers in his time in the NFL. If he doesnt think its a worry then I dont think we should to be honest. He knows a hell of a lot more about secondary play than anyone in here thats for sure.

You can come up with all kinds of scenarios but if a defender can't tackle, he's toast. It doesnt matter if it's a WR or a RB or whomever. You think a WR is just gonna stand there and let Ahkello tackle him? What's your point?

Actually, Lynch was worried, that's why he approached Ahkello and his DB coach about it...

Evidently not that much.
