Harris has been improving but is still below par. Spoon has not improved since he has been back. He was cranking earlier this year but just hasn't got back to his earlier form. I am hoping it is just rust from being out injured. But I am getting more pessimistic given his lack of improvement from his first game back.

Moseley is the better DB and Witherspoon doesn't have the awareness when the ball is in the air

Anyone who plays that side for us is gonna get picked on and criticized. This is the job of that corner. When Richard was up in Seattle they always blasted whichever corner was playing that side. Same thing we are hearing now about Witherspoon , you could hear for 8 seasons in Seattle.

Akello is not bad, yes he got burned but he's been pretty darn good this year. Metcalf has made a lot of dudes look bad. We need him and we need him to keep playing aggressive, Moosley we need as well.

This is true.

I'm fine if he gives up some plays, it's gonna happen when you're playing opposite of Sherm.

That said he can't let up all those TDs. He's hurting the team right now, not helping it.

He started off the season playing way better than I expected, but after he came back from the injury, he hasn't played very well. I hope the bye week allows him to get his body/mind right because he's a weak link in the secondary right now. But he was also playing well at the beginning when the pass rush was amazing so maybe that was masking his play.

Not sure what's happening with Spoon but we badly need the dude before his injury. He was our best corner before he got hurt. And I don't think he's always getting beat bad, he's in position a bunch of times but has to do a better job of either looking back when possible or playing the WR tougher when the ball comes in. One of the TDs yesterday he was right there but WR was able to secure the ball without much of a fight from Spon. Can't have that.

Are you crazy? He's horrible. He was horrible in college and only got drafted because of his size and speed but he's not a football player at heart or by will. He has no instincts or contact courage.

Yes people avoid Sherman, but Witherspoon has always been awful. He was better in the early part of the season when the defense was all over other quarterbacks and the defensive energy was at an all time high.

Witherspoon shouldn't play another down for us as a starter.

He's playing blind and deaf it looks like.

Very susceptible to the back shoulder throw or any play that gets extended...he just can't read the receiver, process what he's supposed to do, and react in time. He's been inches away from making the plays he needs to lately.

I still have faith in him in a lot of scenarios, though.
