Shanny just said a decision on Witherspoon or Mosley hasnt happened yet.....but I have to imagine thats coach speak. No way they throw Witherspoon back out there.

That early season injury was so frustrating. He was really coming into his own, and has come back without the swagger he had at the beginning of the season. Seemed to zap his confidence.

Do we atleast give him credit for 1 half?? because they had 0 at the half if I remember correctly.

Well he will get a chance to sit and allow Sherm and E Man to show him how it's done. All that talent and no grit or veteran savvy. SMH

It just occurred to me that the difference between the good Witherspoon early on in the season and now when he got benched is the backend safety with Tartt and Ward vs Harris and Ward. On every play the past two weeks, it seems like Witherspoon has no help over the top.
Could getting Tartt back make Witherspoon look like he did early on thus year? The decline of the pass rush is also making him look worse, no doubt. But apart from his hard hits, Harris has taken bad angles and missed tackles. I'd like to see Witherspoon with Tartt and Ward back there and see how they do together before writing him off. It's good that we have Moseley, but we shouldn't give up on Spoon.

Or because they want to throw at a corner who either refuses to or phyiscally cant jam a WR and allows easy completions like this:
Touchdown DK Metcalf!!! Fade route on the left side of the endzone. Great route to win immediately off the snap. #Seahawks pic.twitter.com/sx0cb8CkBX

Damn, you could have paid me a whole lot less to get on the field and perform like that. It's like DK was wearing a no contact jersey or something.

Both are trash. They wouldn't even trade their 5th for them.

Dude isn't physical at all. It's like he was scared of something. As someone pointed out already... dont worry. He will beef up this off-season

I was listening to Maiocco on KNBR and he thinks Witherspoon will get the nod next game. He said Witherspoon has had a habit of getting soft at times and just needs a good swift kick in the butt to get going again.

Why is Shanny and Saleh so nice in their characterization of Witherspoon getting whooped over and over? They are treating him with kid gloves like he's too sensitive. Their press remarks are so polite.
This is the NFL and they're all professionals, suck it up and do what's best for the team.
When EMan was in for 8 weeks out pass D was way better. The coaches need to make the right call and move Spoon back as depth.

You don't flay your players in public, I'm sure he got an earful or will this week, but doing it publicly would erode the players' trust and faith in the coach.

I just posted this elsewhere but I can't figure this guy out. He often looks like he has good coverage but for some reason doesn't break up the pass. I see him stick his hand in and he's either late or just flat misses it, almost like he can't see the ball. Maybe it's his vision. I don't know but it's too bad that a guy with his size and athleticism can't make it work on the field.
