If you're the kind of person that gets rattled and starts tripping over yourself, you're really not cut out to play CB in the NFL. Simple as that. It doesn't matter how much physical talent you have. He's had 3 years in the league. You can't have a guy out there that gives up so many plays. I mean litterally, they could just throw hail mary's at this guy all day and he'd find a way to mess it up.

Maybe he would be a better safety or something, where he can see everything in front of him.

Glad they had a short leash, I would say move him to safety but he can't tackle lol
Unfortunate play, he was all over the coverage just didn't have good vision and over-ran the ball, if he would have just looked back it's a pick and he plays the rest of the game. Dude has to learn how to read receivers better when the ball is in the air, they always give some kind of tell as to when the ball is coming in.

Trade him while he still has some value

Lmao. Depth and any potential comp pick are worth more than trade

This. I stated in the other thread he plays out that contract and with a solid season (equal to or better than this one) he will net us a good comp pick in 2022.

He did have pretty good coverage. It looked to me like his feet got tangled up when he tried to look back for the ball. Even when he does something right he screws it up. I really hope Sherman can work with him in the off season and teach him a few tricks because he has the physical attributes to be a good corner. They drafted him with Sherman as a model so it would be only fitting if he taught him how to play.
So disappointed in this guy. No way he gets his starting job back, nor should he. Outside of that one drive that was on him (the PI was questionable , but it was still on him), Niners absolutely dominated that game on defense
He is just so, so bad. Always out of position, can't track the ball in the air, falling down, can never knock the ball down. Honestly he reminds me of Chilo Rachal. What Chilo Rachal was to the offensive line this guy is to the defensive backfield. Sometimes you have a player so bad that it dismantles your whole team. Can you imagine being so bad that you look bad behind this front 7? Because it's the best front 7 in football. Honestly with Moseley out there we are almost unbeatable. With this guy other teams just throw up bombs and hail Mary's all day long. And they come down with them too for TD's. He's not even backup material. He's not even bench warmer material. He needs to be off the team. To put him out at starter is just unthinkable.

I honestly can't believe how bad he is every time he is out there. For a pro football CB his lack of ability to track the ball in the air is astounding. It's amazing to me how much he gets his feet tangled up by himself and falls down too. He can't be out there starting ever again.

..............
Three years into his career and the inconsistency is still there. The draft profile was pretty accurate.

Stop drafting corners because they're 6 feet with long arms. Draft for talent first

The guy usually has good position but cannot find the ball to save his life. He will look to be in perfect position and still get beat. By the way the PI on that drive was completely bullcrap and didn't help his confidence.

Yup and that's what is so frustrating
And agree on the PI
