I disagree on being soft is the issue. Pettis was soft too last year but he was an effective receiver. Witherspoon was soft too in the beginning of the season but he play great football in that stretch of games before he got injured. They were both "soft" when they play good football, thus I don't think being "soft" are the issues for these 2 players. The same can be said for Witherspoon's ball skills.
I do think perhaps natural confidence and/or EQ are the issues.

yeah, andy reid is 1-7 against the titans. I don't get this narrative at all. Titans destroyed the top contenders in the afc and somehow they have no chance against maholmes because he played against a mediocre texans team

Mahomes looks fully healthy now, the first game was his first game back from injury. Titans defense is good but not elite and certainly not capable of shutting down KC. They won't be a turnstile like Houston but I expect KC to put up 30+.
I think what these playoffs have shown is that the patriots run really has come to an end and maybe Brady too. That offense couldn't do s**t. And Lamar, he's still got a long ways to go as an efficient passer.

Ehh, I wouldn't go that far. They'll easily reload with some key additions that will help them. Their weakest areas are clearly WR/TE on offense. Their defense is still quite good. Edelman is their only playmaker until others either step up or develop.

So you don't think Brady has significantly declined? I know he can still be "good" but I think a reason why their offense suffered so much was b/c they lost Gronk, and you don't just replace Gronk. Their defense is good, but you saw them regress when they faced stiffer competition. Their historic level was mostly the result of playing a soft schedule. They were very mediocre the second half of the season, it wasn't just a blip.

His short career thus far seems to be hot/cold. He'll have stretches where he looks really good and then have stretches where he doesn't look too good.
I guess that's life of a corner. If you think about it they are all alone in space and every mistake they make gets amplified and is probably a TD for the other team. No other position is like that.

Don't know how well he did at that but it definitely takes some maturity to do something like that.

Maybe he'll be a guy that ends up playing safety if he can't improve his ability to break up the pass as a corner.
They now have a lot of mobile quarterbacks to go past and good teams. In their own division Bills and in the conference Chiefs, Ravens, Titans, and even Pittsburgh coming back.Originally posted by OnTheClock:Originally posted by bsyde82:Originally posted by DRCHOWDER:yeah, andy reid is 1-7 against the titans.
