Agreed, but with zero CB's signed for next year we could do a lot worse for cheap backup.
Have a feeling he'll go wherever Saleh goes though possibly for the same reason.
If Saleh gets the Lions job, they won't have much cap room to sign FAs, yeah they'll gain about $20M if they trade or release Stafford before March 17th when his $10M roster bonus is due, but I hope we don't lose guys like Hyder to wherever Saleh ends up going.
This is my fear. That Saleh gets the job and because as you said, they don't have a ton of cap space, he's going to look to pick up cheap but productive options.
Re-signing our starters is important but having our depth eroded underneath us because guys want to play for Saleh is a concern.
And that Lions D has more than enough holes to entice depth guys with extra snaps.
