Greatest post in WZ history right there.
Really looking forward to watching him play in preseason.

Man what a rookie! DeJa Vu all over again. 3rd pick in the draft. Not going there with regards to comparisons but man wouldn't that be something if my wish did come true.

Can this be pinned as the new WZ motto?

I think he is supposed to be throwing interceptions right now. He is learning a difficult offense right now. The question to me Will be, Does he have the mental and physical toughness to keep pushing forward, while failing along the way? We shall see. I'm rooting for him, I Love an underdog.

Well Shanahan himself said Beathard is tough as nails, which is one of the main reasons he drafted the guy.

they can spin it as they want and most here will swallow it. but he was not worth trading up and losing picks over in my opinion

I agree with that. If we were going to lose picks over a quarterback than it should have been Davis Webb, but hell, what do I know?

We haven't lost yet.

The proof will come in preseason and beyond.

IMO. wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too early to call it a bust/wasted pick.

If Shanny wanted him then let him have what he wants and move on.

Well, do you know this? If you had the power to do so, would you impose your judgement on Shanahan, or roll with his judgement on which quarterback he'll try to develop?

I'm optimistic Kyle knows what he's doing, and that Beathard will be very good, but I also think Kyle will protect him until he has a good chance to come out and do well. It's going to take some time to adjust to the NFL, and become comfortable with a large percentage of the offense. It's smart imo to withhold criticism before he's given that time.

I had high hopes for CJ, but it doesn't look like he has that it factor, which is disappointing considering where he was drafted.
