It's really something, I was reading MB's latest article, and now Zane Beadles is commending CJ with having a mature, veteran attitude/work ethic. Really cool, seeing that Zane started in a SB, played with Tebow and Peyton Manning, so he knows what "type" of maturity/confidence a QB should express.

Let's make no bones, like our head coach, CJ grew up in a respected NFL family environment. CJ saw more pro quarterbacks practice as a kid in SD than most kids getting pee wee football snaps. CJ has far to go, but this kid was born to play pro-style football.

If he wins the backup job, he'll be on his way to being the starter, IMO.

Totally agree.

I agree, it seems like he's a very confident fella. It's funny, his grandpa had the clout to get CJ into any big SEC program, yet CJ took less because he wanted a legit pro-style education, hence goes to Iowa. Yet, many scouts believe CJ would've probably fared better if he acually had "big school talent" surrounding him. This only adds to CJ's toughness and resolve.

Drafting Kittle and Beathard together was an omen imho -- counter-intuitive to when Walsh and Holmgren stashed Young and B-Jones away into a little room for years. I still feel bad for Rathman, he couldn't bum Brent's training camp fridge, as initially promised.

Good post Snake.

Yup, and if he does win it - the front office is going to be really hard pressed to justify going after Cousins if you have the younger and cheaper version already on your team.
If cj beats out Barkley then Barkley is getting cut and would give us an extra roster spot. Hoping for the best for cj.

You called it!

Add to that if Hoyer players really well the Cousins issue just gets more tenuous.
So excited to see CJ play tomorrow night!
I expect him to play for most of the night. If he plays like he reportedly practices, then he can start a game this year given hoyers injury history.
Yeah, just want to see him poised and make the correct reads and step into throws for better accuracy.
Be the cat's azz if CJ really turned out to be the one. Unlikely, but what if...

Doesn't really pass the name test.

Yeah, I can't wait either. I want to see his arm strength and accuracy.

What don't you like about the CJ part because it can't be the Beat hard part.
I'm looking to see if he can stand in the pocket and look calm. Eyes downfield, not looking at the rush. He supposedly has no fear in the pocket, but he's never got hit by an NFL lineman. Hope he gets a full quarter with some decent WRs.
Name test..

Another Touch Down pass from CJB!

Works for me
