at least he does not have to be the man from day one. i think we will be fine with hoyer and cj can set and learn. by having a better oc and head coach than what he had at iowa should make him better

Lol

It makes sense, this is both the most interesting and most polarizing pick of the draft. It checks all the boxes, most important position on the field, traded up for him, relative unknown, varying perspective amongst experts on his talent level. He is a perfect candidate to be a source of debate for years to come assuming he doesn't shock the league and become a start or wash out in a year.
Read a lot of negativity in this thread, and I still like this pick!

The QBToF thread got locked, so now we're just posting here.

That's our qb.

Bills traded out at 3-11, and the Jets had a pick in the 3rd, so between those teams it would be the Bills.

That said, this sniffs of BS a little bit. Maybe some team out there had a 3rd round grade on him but that doesn't mean they were planning on actually taking him there and didn't.

It could also mean a team planned to take him in the 3rd, but a player they had rated higher on their board (say, someone they projected to go in the 2nd) had fallen to them when their 3rd round pick came up.

Really, there's never a way to know for sure what teams wanted him.
Nice audio of how Kyle and his QB came to the conclusion of and process of drafting this kid.

Step four: throw some damn tight spirals.
I watched a whole lot of this kid since we drafted him trying to see something. What I saw was this kid throws a whole lot of lame ducks, even at the underwear bowl combine with no pads

You know who was the master of the duck throw?

Steve Young

I would say Payton Manning - dude threw so many ducks.....but sure had a lot of ducking touchdowns.

Yup, cc, AND, for a change, we finally got that OL that has been building for the last 3 yrs. It will be a huge help for Hoyer, and should CJ happen to get some PT...it'll sure be better than he played behind his last yr at Iowa.

Two things this yr will be entirely different for 9er QBs...most important is Kyle both calling plays and hand coaching his QBs....and then, the rebuilt OL. Lastly, having a Jusczyk back there will make significant difference also.

For the moaners who don't think much of our O this yr, I think the above results in a way better than expected Offense. Throw in our new last minute RB...if he catches fire, like the last 8 games in college, well, this will go from an O...to something you won't want to miss a single minute of. That's what I'm betting will happen.
