I am crossing my fingers for a Dak Prescott-like performance from this guy... how sweet it would be to find out Franchise QB in the 3rd round

Yup, cc, AND, for a change, we finally got that OL that has been building for the last 3 yrs. It will be a huge help for Hoyer, and should CJ happen to get some PT...it'll sure be better than he played behind his last yr at Iowa.

Two things this yr will be entirely different for 9er QBs...most important is Kyle both calling plays and hand coaching his QBs....and then, the rebuilt OL. Lastly, having a Jusczyk back there will make significant difference also.

For the moaners who don't think much of our O this yr, I think the above results in a way better than expected Offense. Throw in our new last minute RB...if he catches fire, like the last 8 games in college, well, this will go from an O...to something you won't want to miss a single minute of. That's what I'm betting will happen.

I've been waiting for this for years... make it happen Kyle Lynch and co.

I'd rather a Tom Brady like performance :)

I can see it now. We sign Kirk Cousins in the offseason. Go 5-11.

Draft Christian Kirk in the first round. Everyone is excited about Kirk to Kirk combo.

Cousins gets injured 2nd game of the year. Beathard comes in...never looks back.

Wins 5+ SBs and retires as the best QB in the game. No biggie.

lol i know this is a lighthearted post not supposed to be serious but I think that some fans actually think Beathard is gonna be the second coming of Joe.

Montana wore 16, Beathard wore 16.
both were 3rd round picks.
both aren't amazing athletes but have smarts.

those 3 alone could make fans delusional lol.

Hey why not shoot for the moon while it's still somewhat possible lol.
This thread started off being a hate thread and now it's a love fest...

The dude officially hasn't played, draft pundits thought it was a reach, our own FO said he had a 4th round grade but he's tough as sh*t, and now he's the next coming of Montana/Brady...

... damn, he'll be Buddha Mohammad Christ Zeus here in a few weeks

I can see the regression of the expectations

"Damn he can be our next Montana!"

"Okay, maybe he can be a Garcia"

"Alex smith carved a solid career and beathard has a better coaching staff than he had"

"He has more touch than kaepernick will ever have at least."

"okay, i dont hate him but...."

lol. If he ends up being a solid backup I think it's a win. Not going to set my sights high but I do like the pick a lot more now than I did when it was announced.

One thing Tom Brady and guys like him have shown is sometimes you don't need to be the best athlete if you do the right things to improve. Mental game goes a long way.

One thing I will say is that every qb in NFL history had or has a chance to be great as long as they put up the hard work. He has enough physical attributes to play in this league. It is up to him to put on the hours and hard work to be great. Tom Brady was a 6th rounder for a reason. But with impeccable work ethic, great repetitive accuracy, and studies the game really well, he became arguably the greatest qb to ever play the game. While I think guys with that kind of work ethic don't come along that often, he can certainly prove that.
He'll be Brett Favre 2.0 with hopefully less INTs. dude likes to get hit

obviously kyle thaught otherwise. hard to judged a spread qb.cj could probably step in quicker then watson or trubs. his footwook is ready
