Totally agree!
I'm all for getting younger on defense and still retaining the same talent level. Maybe ShanaLynch can get a draft pick out of it if they have to release Michell?

This kid is going to be tough to keep off the field. I think we got one here. I would still keep Mitchell around for another year though

Maybe Earl was signed for his professionalism and now that a team culture has been instilled, his onfield contributions is not as valued. He is what he is at this point in his career and DJJ's potential outweighs Earl's veteran experience imo. Keeping two pure NTs isn't roster flexibility.

Exactly. In watching the recent OLvDL, Day and Jones were very strong and active at the POA and penetrating. I think they both are ready for the next step.

Yep. Haven't heard a peep about Jones so far. Dunno why peeps are so eager to move on from Mitchell, think he's going to have a solid year with better personnel around him and knowing the system. Good gap penetrator, seems to hold his ground in the run game though I heard his PFF grade wasn't good if I'm not mistaken.

Mitchell been putting Richburg on skates in practice, reminiscent of Kilgore.

Yup. Nothing wrong with rotating and another year of seasoning. This is more than likely Mitchells last year here, but it's going to be a solid one IMO. Think he definitely is motivated being challenged, iron sharpens iron right?

Jones was another player who did great last night. I love our depth at the NT spot and LB.
