Going to be a really solid run stopper

Makes the roster? IMO he should be the starter.
He is so strong, he just bench presses the Center almost every time, then rag dolls him aside to stop the run

If you're JUST looking at play and impact on the field, yes, Jones should clearly be the starter. But..."best 11" is a bunch of B.S. for a variety of reasons.
Basically we have essentially all interior DLs, and have backups across the board...again, all interior. Well, when you got Inside DLs(instead of Lemons), then you make an INside pass rush(Lemonade)...instead of the outside PR. ( ER)

What we need here is some clever scheming by Saleh and i bet John lynch has a hand in it,. If we add just little to our Outside PR, with an addition from the "cuts", well, who is to deny that every little bit helps.? A BIG help would be especially nice tho. Not real expectant, but ....well, that is what "cuts" day is all about...this yr.

As for DJ, he has secured his spot on the DL base D...but he has had some nice pressures on QBs also this season. Add in Julian, Foster, Dekoda, and we can manufacture some really nice pressure this yr.

Disagree Paso! We have a lot of interesting young DL, many worthy of starting. Will they elevate their play to elite? Hope so. Buckner, Thomas, Armstead, Jones as all good players. The guys proving themselves seem to be pretty good as well. If they wind up cutting Blair it will mean the DL is a good one. Do they have great pass rushers? No! That is the one area they need to improve, either by committee and scheme; or draft/trade.

Add Day to that mix and you might even have some trade bait down the road.

Yes, it seems possible that they keep an extra DL just for that purpose. Every team needs run stoppers so many of these guys could be valuable tradebait. But they may also be looking for a trade for a pass rusher...ahh...this is a fun time of year!

Tim Ryan was saying he's the strongest guy on the team. Think he said he benches 500lbs?
Should be the starting nose.

I think he's still a year out from starting. He's going to be a fixture there for a long time once he does take the job.
