It's both sad and happy that this guy is better than Solomon Thomas, a guy taken 195 slots sooner. We could of had McCaffrey, Maholmes, Jamal Adams....

DJJ has always been good. He whooped the best center in the league(Travis Frederick) as a rookie.

49ers played DJJ at 0t on a few downs vs GB. There were a number of times they came out in five man fronts that resembled a 3-4 look. I think this is the 49ers idea of "loading up" to stop the run.

On the point about possibilities of DJ somewhat replacing what AA does in the middle. Between AA and Buckner, I think Buckner makes Bosa, and Bosa helps Buckner. We need at least *one* outstanding DT to pair with our dominant DE in Bosa. PS Would like a 100% healthy Dee Ford for what we are paying the guy, but I'd settle for drafting/Undrafted Free Agent Dee Ford 2.0 in next years offseason cycle.
