We didn't look the same without him in the line up. He is outplaying our #3 overall pick!

^^^DJ is my one and ONLY combine pick ever, who after running the cones i said we had to have him. I have never had another player in combine that we took in draft work out well. Never. So glad to see everyone else appreciates DJ for what he is...just a hard azz inter DT who can basically handle anything given to him...and come out a winner. And he was one helluva steal in 6th.

DJ was one of the only hero's on D yesterday. His turnover was the difference. Kid should get resigned in the offseason so he doesn't out-price his way out when his contract is due.

i love this kid... he knows best to bring his A game each time he's in there... the guy is just hungry.. he may not be a 4 down player, but when he's there, he makes the most out if.

Perhaps one reason Jeff Zgonina, the old DL coach, got fired was because he was playing Earl Mitchell over DJJ. All last season I kept thinking why is Earl Mitchell in there when it seems like DJJ is already a better player?

Damn. This guy has been one of the unsung heros this year. Especially on run downs. This sucks.

The San Francisco 49ers defensive line keeps taking hits. The unit might be without defensive lineman D.J. Jones for the remainder of the season. Head coach Kyle Shanahan informed reporters on Wednesday that defensive tackle D.J. Jones will not practice because of an ankle injury, and the setback could be significant enough where the defender could be done for the year.

Yeah...really chitty news to see. I thought Jones' injury wasn't that bad. He's been playing great for us. Several impact plays in the run and forced turnovers. We really took a hit in run D when he hasn't been in the game. Now would be a great time for guys like Thomas, Street and Day to step up their play.

It's why I'm really not expecting them to survive the playoffs this year. If they do, wonderful. I'll celebrate like crazy. But if they get knocked out? On to 2020. Hope the injury luck turns.

Damn this is a big loss. I think Julian Taylor is the guy to step in here and take the role of immovable object at the DT position. Day gets moved too easily imo.

That's a huge blow , I'm sick of all these injuries , if we were 100 percent healthy we can easily win the super bowl I think, now it's going to be a dog fight to do it
