I responded with "sounds like it might impact next seasons"

You then said "no need to hand wring "

I then said no wringing just doesn't sound usual that ligament attachment issues are a normal part of high ankle sprains.

Then you're asking me when the surgery is? 🤔 Maybe I'm missing something but I don't recall high ankle sprains always having ligament *attachment* issues which is why I said "sounds like..."

If someone said he broke his arm and it was shattered, I'm not medical expert but that sounds worse than he just broke his arm. I could be wrong and not insisting I'm right on this ...

Overall what I said I'm more conservatively cautious with starters when it comes to recurring injuries.

Correct, surgery is only required when it's an extremely severe case and even then it's about a 3 month recovery with no long term effects. Lol it's on you because you blindly just ran with something and started the hand-wringing. That's why I was just trying to tell you it's a standard, albeit severe, high ankle sprain that won't impact next year
Man, DJ was a huge loss. One of the underrated players in the NFL. The d line is a lot worse without him
Cant wait to see him back, loved the hit he put on Wilson week 10.
High ankle can mean syndysmosis and can take a months to recover.

Was his injury confirmed to be season ending or is it possible he could come back in the playoffs?

He's done. Severe high ankle sprain. Ligment attachment issues.

Sounds like a next season impacting issue.

It's a high ankle sprain. The ligaments are always impacted. This is not something to hand-wring about

No hand-wringing, just calling it like it's been written. If it's severe hopefully it doesn't impact next year but sounds like it could.

When it comes to recurring injuries and staters, I'm a little less forgiving these days.

Why does it sound like it could?

Ligament attachment issues? I know the ligaments are impacted in every high ankle sprain but it's not usually an attachment issue.

So this is a much more severe and unique high ankle sprain compared to others? When is he having surgery?

He might have already had surgery. Tua from Alabama had the tightrope surgery on each ankle the past 2 years because his high ankle sprains had Ligament attachment issues, he came back fine the 1st time, he came back too soon this past season.

Yes that's very true, but in Jones case he has not had surgery, nor is there surgery planned. There has been nothing said to indicate this is on the same level as Tuas ankle injuries or anything other than a severe ankle sprain. In fact I don't think there was anything even said about full detachment. With Tua, it sounds like he has bad ankles. To have both those surgeries in 18 and 19 is worrisome. I'm a little surprised they let him come back this year after his last surgery, but these doctors know far more than I

They shouldn't have. He came back way too soon, like in 2 weeks. Ankle was heavily taped and his mobility was severely limited. The lack of mobility prevented him from evading the rush and also put stress on other parts of his lower body. I am not a doctor, but I am sure that played a huge part in the hip injury.
Im just here cuz im a fan of dj jones!!!!! Yeah baaaaaabbby!!!

For sure. Just a high ankle sprain. It really hurt not having him and Weston Richburg in the sb. Imo if both are healthy we win. Our interior ol wasn't good and our run d was average

It hurt not having DJ in there, he helped collapse the pocket so easily, and his speed for his size is uncanny, needs to be an extension priority down the line.
