That's probably Zgonina's doing, and that's why he's gone. Once Kocurek came into the organization, I think DJ Jones was immediately elevated and Earl was let go.

Also Jullian Taylor could replace Jones in 2021, he's around the same size as Jones, and did a good job when he had the opportunity in 2019. Plus he'd be cheaper after 2021 IMO.

If he plays really good, I doubt we are able to retain him, he'll get close to $10M a year, Michael Pierce got $9M a yr from the Vikings, and he's a NT.

That's definitely something to keep an eye on. That said, he's never been able to stay on the field and we play nickel 70%. I think he'd have a tough time getting anywhere near that range after one good year.

Well Pierce played less than 50% of the Ravens snaps, and got $9M a year from Minnesota, so I think Jones can break that IMO.
