I didn't want to layer you all with this type of news all at once, but Shanahan said that key 49ers DL D.J. Jones also was hurt Sunday with an ankle injury. No further info on that at this time

Not ready to throw the towel in yet on the season though. Other teams will suffer some rough injuries as well. I will never hope for anyone to get injured but I said a few times this summer without a proper off-season that I expected alot of injuries not just with us but across the league. I expect it to get worse across the league before it gets better.

Yeah, you can't fully pack it in...just adjust your expectations some and see how it all plays out over 15 more weeks.

I think more than every other year it will be the season of coachs and QBs.
With all the injuries that NFL will have this season, it will really come to this.
It sucks for the 49ers because the defense was so great not so long ago but I´m pretty sure this offense can carry the load.
By the way it sucks for DJ Jones. Hope it´s not too bad.
