They could shuffle dudes all over the place on sub packages, with Lynch, Pita, Harold, Brooks to use as edge guys and Buckner, Armstead, Thomas, Blair to use inside. Thomas might develop as an edge guy if he gets work done with DWare.

I like that lineup.

From what I've read here and from the Niner Draft board threads regarding D.J. Jones, he's strong and can take on double teams. I think DJ is Perfect for that NT position, and with that quickness, he can get into the backfield on some stunts or wreak havoc on just penetrating into the backfield on a designed stunt. His handspeed is amazing, and I think with that hand speed - he'd be a great DT that can grab two OT's and lock them up which frees one of the other D Line guys to wreak havoc in the backfield or pressure the QB.

what is his wingspan?

He can move for a 320 lb man.

We've had some good luck with NTs.. let's hope we found our baby Poe for hella cheap that emerges while he's super young and on a cheap contract. If he's fully concentrated at 1T, that should help trying to win the job ASAP.

really? does AA have the pass rush prowess to be the best option as 3T? I'd easily go with Buckner for that. AA was more known to fit as the LDE coming out from college, and you want your best "fatty" rusher at the 3T.
I thought it was going to be Solomon @ 5T and Buckner @ 3T. So it would be Solomon/Mitchell/Buckner/ (Lynch/Armstead)...right?

When it's all said and I think Buck stays at LDE this year in base cause I dunno if they wanna put that much on Thomas plate the first. Might be easier for Thomas to play at 3T this year in base, attack one gap and go.

He is a man mountain
Check out the second take. That's why DL coaches teach players to finish their spin with force and violence with that inside hand(aka ice pick hand). Put Barnes on his ass Lol.

Lol, love how Barnes had that let's do it again kinda walk after the first time. Then, after the second burn came the "you gotta be f**king kidding me" mannerism.
Combine doesn't do squat for me, generally. But when I saw DJ run the cones, man I did a double pump. Cripes, a 320 lb man that can be both that agile as well as quick...i didn't know if he could play football or not, but dang was he ever an athlete. Then went back and saw his limited film clips, and liked what I saw. We now have two big men that are light on their feet plus agile....DJ and Trenton. That's kind of interesting.

Word. This kid was one of the most intriguing sleepers of the draft. Great movement skills for a guys his size, he's versatile enough to play 3T or Nose in this defense. Only question is his motor sometimes ran hot or cold, possibly due to conditioning.. Saleh will employ heavy rotations on the d-line which is perfect for him.
That part I didn't know Sofa, but I could see him right alongside the big 3 , and THAT would be one helluva base package.plus you got Bow, Reuben and Brooks right behind them. No wonder the OL is having a tough time handling this D.
