Super huge loss. Happens to every team that makes it to the final four.
:( bye
We're waiting for Kinlaw to leave the starting gate. Jones is a huge loss, the Niners have been pretty good finding defensive studs with later-round draft picks. I hope it continues.
Hate to lose him but we have his replacement on hand. Glad DJ got paid.
Has kinlaw been a dud? I wouldn't say that. But he hasn't splashed either. Its not realistic to expect much in the first half of the season after surgery. So we will need to have street and hurst step up. Maybe a draft prayer too.

Kinlaw is one of the biggest question marks for me going into next season. If he plays up to his ability it would be huge but I'm more than a little worried about him.

Same. So far, I'm not a fan. This reminds me of when we kept AA over Buckner. But I guess, Kinlaw's still young and a bit raw. But if he doesn't improve FAST everyone will hate him.
Sad to see him go, what a hell of a pick for round 6.

Yup, these types of picks, its hard to let go. I feel bad for the unneeded pressure this puts on Kinlaw tbh.
Jones had a great year, but playing next to a healthy Bosa and AA helps a lot. We can replace him with a mid-tear free agent and get 30+ tackles and few sacks with out hurting too much. I won't be surprised to see him considered a free agent bust at that price tag.

Not at all. If anything DJ made AA and Bosa better. He's still a value for Denver.

Our run defense is definitely going to take a hit. Hopefully we draft a legit SS to help out in run defense.

Disagree. Look what happened to Hyder when he left for almost 7 mill a year last year... disappeared. Our D-line is one of the strongest units in the league. Playing surrounded by really good players makes your job easier. That's a fact. And saying Jones made Bosa better is just laughable my friend.

Bosa was the guy that usually got double teamed. That opened things up for Jones. He'll be in a similar situation in Denver. with Chubb and Gregory rushing from the outside.

Again… DJ Jones is a nose tackle that has 3tech versatility. He was the #1 rated run stopper in the NFL that can also give you pass rush reps. Acting like he's easily replaceable by some random street FA is naive at best.

And for the record I never said Bosa doesn't help DJ. DL all help each other. If you think DJ didn't help the rest of the dline I'm sure you also believed Aldon Smith couldn't rush the passer without Justin.

Where are you getting your grades from? Pff has him #20 in run stopping. He also played roughly 50% of the snaps. As much as l love DJ, that is replaceable for a team up against the cap.
