I've liked what I've seen more from Pita in one preseason than I've ever seen with Harold. This guy plays low and has a really good motor. Hope he stays for good.

I can't possibly see how a team would put him on their active roster...he's fine on the PS

Now do you see?

He can still be cut. Might wait for the first wave to be over so he cant be claimed.

Was thinking the possibility of the same.

Of all the fringe players to make the squad, I'm most excited about Pita T. I think he's got a great future as a developmental rush LB in our 4-3 scheme.

Welcome to the 53, young man

Yeahooo! I'm with you NinerBuff!

Who woulda thought... Pita,DJ Jones,Colbert,Breida,Bolden,Bourne,Jerome,Magnuson.

well... NC and AB8 for one...

I think Pita has all the tools to develop into a good NFL player, he just needs to work on his game, his strengths, his move etc... He has good explosive speed which is the first thing you need a pass rusher to have. The hands and the upper body are next and those will take time in Pita's case to develop. Hopefully not too long a time.

Of course if something better comes along. But as of right now. Saleh and Shanny felt he deserved to be on the 53 man over PS.

I had all those guys except for Bourne making the 53 but just felt they wouldn't have the stones to cut Kerley but thankful they did because I felt keeping Bolden and Bourne was the smart move.
Pita holding on by his pita to this roster.

I think the backup spots will be a shuffled a lot. He won't dress and will be inactive every week. I would rather use the spot to try and find somebody worth keeping on the OL....same with DB.

I mean I stand by what I said, I couldn't see another team pickup him up on waivers to their active roster.

IMO I dont see another team putting him on their active roster...not with 1,000+ players being cut in 24 hrs. Good for him making the squad

I think it's a gutsy move too, myself. Easy to keep a productive WR vs cutting them, and my hope is they keep being gutsy. They went Youth vs. Experience, specially when all the experience they had were all bad.

I like the draft they had and I like the guys that made the 53. Overall, I'm impressed with ShanaLynch, we might just have a chance at the Lombardi if this keeps up for another year or two.

I'm just wondering if any of the drafted pass rushers in this years draft cycle have been cut? I"m thinking if the answer is no - then I think it was a pretty smart move on ShanaLynch's part to protect Pita from the Waiver Wire.
