Why the hell does that help Seattle, we run their same basic defense. Oh, I guess for offensive Intel but that's not usually relevant when you get that far into the season. The reason is he knows the basic defense so it's not that hard for him to acclimate.

Colbert showed up as a fan to support the 49ers in LA today. That's pretty cool. Good guy - hope he catches onto a team soon.

That's pretty big of him. Hope he catches on as well. If he is a FA this spring, he'd be a good signing for training camp. Remember people, we have to fill out a 90 man roster and in no way am I suggesting bringing him back to play/start.

Well Seattle brought him up from Practice Squad because they heard that there were a few teams ready to claim him.

Then they release him after a few games, because of another position depth situation.

You would think that those other teams that were interested would give him a call now, UNLESS they ended up picking other players because Seattle moved him up.

WHICH would be just bad luck for Colbert... but that is something that happens alot in this league where teams end up screwing players, when looking out for themselves.

I don't know. Some guys have that awesome one or two seasons and then fall off the map. Hillis comes to mind. The guy was a 7th round pick... Things broke right for him for a couple of games.

Forgot which articles they were from but it was mentioned he was going through some mental stuff. If the mind isnt right then the drop off is inevitable.

49ers should retire him a niner.

He should honestly try the XFL
