Looks good but don't forget fellas. These passes are to wide open guys. C.J. can absolutely make those throws. If Mullens has to throw into tight coverage then you'll see some picks.

I bet my last dollar CJ would have 3 or 4 passes deflected at the line.

And taken 4 sacks.

Good for a strip fumble

Now if Mullens could smack the s**t outta the Broncos for me!!!
To Beathard sympathizers: I'm a fan of his too. To be fair Nick earned at least another start. Feels so good to see our qb play so calm and confidently.
Congrats to the young man! Hope he gets to play the next game.

I guess Mullens is the first 49er to throw 3 TDs in a debut.

Edit: according to ESPN, he also did this:

"Francisco's third-string quarterback joined Tennessee's Marcus Mariota as the only players this century to unfurl touchdown passes on each of their first two NFL possessions. "

He has accurate touch on his passes. It can be zippy too. His foot work was really inconsistent in the preseason. A lot better in this game. Let's see how far he can improve.

Interesting development in a terrible season

I agree. Seems like a quick processor like some has already mentioned. Although its against the Raiders, he showed poise for his first game and didn't get rattled on the big stage. Other QB needy teams probably are now intrigued who this kid that Shany is developing...
So we've seen Nick play well like this in preseason.... but we also saw him struggle in that last preseason game.

Anyone remember what happened? Curious if it's something he and Kyle should be prepared for going forward.

I never felt it is fair to judge QBs behind 2/3rd strings oline and 5 string WRs. So hopefully that was the reason.
First quarterback i ever noticed to play with a wedding ring on

Is that even allowed?
We found our real franchise qb. Trade jimmy for a first.

That seems dangerous, imagine if a facemask caught his ring, it could destroy his finger, similar to what happened to Jimmy Fallons Finger.
