No no now you`re wrong,its back to CJ Molasses and the turnover zone....yes it was nice to see quick decision making QB who when got in the Red-Zone actually threw TD pass and not interception or fumbled the ball killing drives...Shanny has to see this and please don`t put CJ Molasses back in.

There are quite a few of you who should be eating some crow about now...but it's a night to appreciate what Nick Mullens did out there tonight. Yeah, the Raiders defense sucks but that takes nothing away from how Nick carved them up. Thought it was awesome to see how his teammates responded to him...they love this kid and it shows. When Favre calls you after the game to congratulate your effort, it doesn't get much better than that. Really happy for not only Nick, but how he seemed to raise the level of everyone's play. He definitely gave the team a real spark, one that was really needed. Maybe it was just me, but several times when the camera was on Beathard, it seemed like he had a worried look on his face.

There were wide open WRs on some plays, but he also made some nice throws. A few in the face of pressure. Accurate in the short range. In this offense that makes a QB very functional.

I told my wife early as this morning that Mullins starting was Kyle throwing in the towel on the season in earnest. Nick is now only addressed in our home as "Big Dick Nick". Dude played real well, and was cool as the other side of the pillow. Granted it was one game and against the inept Raiders, but still. Was a fun game to watch.

For real though, I had zero confidence in Mullens after his 2017 preseason, the kid just looked lost. But I don't know what happen and what clicked for him from 2017 to 2018, he just looks like a whole different QB. I really hope he keeps it up and is here for a few years behind Garoppolo, then maybe get a early to mid round pick for him who knows!!!
