Beathard start.

I think we've seen enough of CJ standing frozen like a deer in headlights with a rusher bearing down on him. Dude has awful pocket awareness.

Yeah it's the complete opposite for me. I don't need another game to see Beathard is still really slow going through his progressions and his footwork in the pocket is still really sloppy. Jimmy wasn't stepping into his throws on a bad ankle. CJ rarely does it even without any physical limitations.

Mullens for starting QB
remember how it went last time ?

Healthy Mullens >> hobbled jimmy

All day every day
remember how it went last time ?

thats because of the pressure and people blowing smoke up his ass.

Now that everyone acknowledges that he sucks and will be a stopgap for our next QB, he can probably be a decent QB like Shaun Hill.

He's still going to get blown up by opposing Dlines because our Oline can't block anyone right now.

This

Chicken and egg thing.

OL or QB??

Agree

LOL

Not gonna happen.

Remember, Mullens is also playing with the 4th string Center, only Hasty/McKinnon at RB, Dwelley at TE, and Aiyuk/Bourne/Taylor at WR.

Turnovers will be plentiful, and likely the losses.

Never said that it was going to happen, lol. That would be the "dream" scenario. Hence, why it's called a "dream" situation.
He'll have an eight game audition
it's now or never for him...

Mullens balls out will not get a quality rookie QB and there are no vets worth a darn.. we don't have any paddles in this s**t creek

We have 8 games left, and frankly, they all still look winnable despite our current state. Buffalo will probably steamroll us, but if Mullens goes, say 5-3, that would be an interesting situation.

it would make the crazy season feel better, but long term would kill us. If we truly want a game changer rookie QB, we need to have our choice and not what falls to us.

thats the point. I want to tank. Either way its a win win
Yeah CJ is the best guy to tank. Trade Mullens for a 4th or 5th. Mullens can actually win games. Beathard doesn't win games

We can't make the team lose games. We just don't know what the season looks like. Other teams could have injuries too that make it easier for us to win. You just never know.

we are at the damned if we do damed if we don't phase in a bad season.
