Honestly, he played fine. Aiyuk was the reason for one pick and it can be argued that Wilson could have fought for the one in the endzone.
Dude wasnt perfect, but he played well and the numbers reflect it. Better than Kimmy would have.
Agreed, he did it mainly without a running game that JG would have needed.
Mullens escaped pressure masterfully several times in the game. Jimmy would have folded and s**t himself in that situation.
I'm not even trying to be controversial or stir the pot, I think Mullens is better than Jimmy.

LOOK, it's really time to admit that Mullen can not lead a team ALL SEASON... he's just not THAT QB.. he may be a good or even a solid backup, IF he has to take over a game or two...
but to say that he can be the QB for even half a season and expect to maintain a winning season, NO.

That's fine and all, hes still better than Jimmy.

I agree with both of you.
That said, if he had our last year's defense behind him I think he could win us his fair share of games if thrust into action.

Buffalo has the 20th ranked passing defense. They aren't that good this season. The Niners are 9th in passing yards allowed per game and Allen lit them up. Half of Nicks yards came in desperation time when the game was probably out of reach. He's a backup for a reason. Yes I know he had one really nice deep throw but every QB gets one sooner or later. He had one INT where he threw low to Aiyuk who went down to his knees to catch it. Unfortunately, his knees hit his hands just as he was trying to cradle the ball and it popped into the air. I won't blame either Nick or Aiyuk on that one. It's just one of those weird things that happen in football.

I don't know if it's scheme or not, but objectively looking at the numbers, you're getting the same level of play at 3% of the cost.
We still need a starting QB (and I like Jimmy, he's just injury prone)

Nick very susceptible to TO in the redzone. I could almost see it coming last night during that whole sequence. Inexperienced.

Josh Allen as great as he played had 2 passes that should have been picked (one actually did) That's the NFL.
