We are gonna score here and Mullens will keep it JUST close enough to earn himself another start...

Yep, there's the garbage time TD to earn Mullens another start.

Precisely why Mullens is still in there. Once Beathard gets the reigns again there wont be any going back, we will be stuck getting beat hard... rather than softly beaten and mullen it over in the aftermath. My dad jokes get the best of me... not a father but I consider myself a stay at home dad without any kids.

I wish all the fools who came out and had the balls to say Mullens is better than Jimmy show themselves so we can all laugh at them

Pray the Jets take the Clemson QB and the no one else needs a QB until the Niners pick.

We need to trade up. I see Cincy as a good trade partner

All jokes aside, I'm sure this is the reason Mullens is still starting. I think both Beathard and Mullens are significantly flawed quarterbacks, just in different ways. But on the whole they're about on the same level. So my thought is Kyle simply decided to go with consistency rather than swapping back and forth between the two. There is no way Kyle is watching the tape after these games and thinking "yes, this QB is solid and he is playing at an acceptable level."

Nick was pretty bad today...in fact at times he was downright awful. Given the team's just about done, why not give Beathard a shot. In several games today, the importance of experienced veteran b/u's was brought up. We saw why today.
