We have to thank this garbage quarterback for giving us what's going to be a top 10 to 12 draft pick. If Jimmy G was in we would easily be in the playoffs right now. Hopefully we get a very good corner or quarterback or a guard. Then we will be set with our last place schedule next year

Leave him in Dallas. He cost us 3 wins at least

Philly Washington and Dallas are easy wins without Mullen's These were his worst games
Jimmy Garoppolo already got us Nick Bosa and this year he's going to get us another good player by getting injured.

I wonder what type of regular job he will be doing next year? Maybe can start selling insurance.

Hopefully nothing that involves passing or even handing anything to another person as it might get fumbled or intercepted.

I bet you he's still on the team next year either as the 49ers' backup or 3rd QB. Nick knows the offense well, so he'll be very helpful with grooming a rookie QB.
He's fine as a backup/3rd QB. The problem is he's forced into being a starter right now because our starter can't stay on the field. Nick shouldn't be playing as much as he is. The problem isn't the backup, it's the starter's durability.

Yes, it's always something with Jimmy--shoulder, a knee, an ankle, etc. I love the guy, but availability is everything.

Happened on the field that nearly took out a 1/4 of our starters.

I disagree. Mullens is not fine as a decent NFL backup QB. A 3rd Stringer, yes. But as a backup at the most important position in football (maybe all of sports), where injuries can and do happen to any QB, you need a better backup option than a guy like Mullens to at least give you a chance should your QB1 go down. A better insurance policy. Look at Mullens' decision-making, his arm, the turnovers...everything. And this is Year 4 for him.
Not saying Andy Dalton is very good, but he's an example of a good backup QB who's serviceable enough to help bridge the gap and get some wins until your QB1 returns, especially if he has talent around him.
I'm really hoping this team drafts a QB with promise & a good fit for Shanahan to groom and to backup Garoppolo. Maybe even be the long-term solution if it's not Garoppolo. Beathard was a miss. Nobody is saying drafting a good young QB is easy as we've seen all the misses.
Of course I'm hoping Garoppolo can stay healthy - like he did for 19 straight games in 2019 when he didn't come out of a single game due to injury. I'm hoping that will happen again, and doing what you can to shore up C/the OL (in the draft, etc.) will help matters.
