Come on, don't view at that as a regular Webzone fan. You see the linebacker heading in Juice's direction AS Trent Williams gets tossed to the side right in Nick's face.

Edit- and before folks jump to conclusions, I feel there are a lot of things to bash Nick on... and this was the killer INT that ended our season. But I don't think him moving away from Juice, because the LB seemed to be coving him initially, is a reason to pile on Mullens.

This sequence looked like the defense knew what was coming, covered every passing lane (MLB dropped back, which caused Nick to wait until WR was clear..but Safety read it perfectly). Eveything was played underneath. To help out against the run, and defend what ever routes were underneath.

No outrage that our OL got Mullens hurt? Color me shocked.

Players get hurt. He'll be judged off his play. And that was less than stellar. It's unfortunate for him, but he deserved to be replaced injury or not.

Wonder what we received for trade offers for this guy early in the year. Anything better than a 6th rounder should have been snatched up. Hindsight's 20/20 of course though.

Lol this time last yr everyone thought we had 3 good QBs and would move both for a early day 3 pick...now kyle is an ass who can't scout QBs according to some fans.

Sucks that he got injured for him but this is probably the only way Shanahan would have moved away from him. He's probably done in the NFL. Wish him well.

Lol he will be our top backup next year. Unless we keep JG

Might want to invest some draft picks in the oline to keep these guys from getting killed.

I mean, yeah....I totally agree with this. I was hinting at something else, which you didnt pick up on. Mullens absolutely deserved to be replaced. But his terrible play (and injury) was not afforded the excuses that some give a different player.

You know its true dj! Didnt see a single post blaming the OL for his injury. Maybe there are a couple out there, but none that I have seen.
He was hurt because he took a pounding behind the OL. That suck for him, I wish him the best get well.

But it makes you wonder... if he threw the ball away more often (yes, similar to Kap when it used to frustrate fans), that might have given us more 3rd and manageable distances... and way less turnovers. Sure it would have looked pathetic seeing plays given up on early, but hey.. we have injuries on offense, as well as mental mistakes by way of presnap penalties. So just limiting whatever potential mistakes on offense would have helped. Especially with our defense playing better than expected with their own set of injuries.

I believe most of Nicks INTs/TO have been when the initial play isn't there, and he tries to still make a play.
