Mullens could be a backup going forward on a different team, no shame in that, and if you do it long enough you can make quite a bit of money.

He's an injured, undersized slow qb with a weak Noodle arm who has a propensity to turn the ball over either by passing it to the other team or fumbling it to the other team, oh and he has a way of losing games single handedly. Outside of Saleh getting a HC gig I don't really see him as a fit for most teams as a backup. He's also competing with a bunch of recycled former first rounders who are getting passed around the league and are much more talented and in some ways better winners than him.
Good call. We will gift him to Saleh.

Whoa...thought I accidentally entered the Jimmy G thread.
Anyway about Nick, teams tried to trade for him during this past offseason. If he's available, these teams will have the option to bring him in for free to get a look at his arm.
Like a said weeks ago when Nick first got *benched*. He'll find his way back to starting, on this team or another team. Nick has his limitations, and I hope this year's experience brought him back to reality, but there are some horrible horrible QBs out there... starting and backups. And of course injuries. So he'll have another opportunity.
What he does with it? We'll see.

Wishful thinking, the zone has had some sh*t level wannabe writers for awhile. Thought at first they were auditioning for Cohn's old job but turns out they are just emulating sensationalistic opinion pieces hoping to get clicks. Step 1: Read forum threads to find the most trolled topics. Step 2: Translate the troll posts into a coherent yet still disingenuous argument. Step 3: Ignore logic and circumstances then fill it with fluff paragraphs laced with cherry picked statistics or outside opinions to give the article a modicum of credibility.
I think Jack Nicholson said it best when talking about some WZ writers... "First I take one of the Matt's, then I take away reason and accountability."

Is the forum going to give Nick a little love for his 3rd down conversion percentage or do all the turnovers invalidate everything?

Can't hold BDN down! We got another QB controversy
#49ers QB Nick Mullens underwent successful elbow surgery in late December, according to a source. Per the source, the damage was not as extensive as initially feared and did not require Tommy John surgery. Mullens is expected to be 100% recovered for the start of training camp.

Just in time to fumble another ball.
