It does seem like the 49ers missed out on a chance to get a draft pick for Mullens. Surely a team somewhere would have offered a 7th round pick for an experienced starter.

market is flooded with back up qbs with starting experience - not sure they could have even got a 7th

I certainly don't think they should be keeping CJ over him. If Mullens goes, so should Beatherd, and we should have a backup groomed for the starting role. We have one already.

Nick better take his ass to New England and sign for peanuts... Imo he could beat out 2020/2021 Cam Newton. And they have those new weapons.
