I agree. Especially for a 3 string QB with less reps. Very fine line between throwing into tight windows and throwing it up for grabs. I think he tried one back shoulder with Garcon but Garcon didn't come back to it soon enough.
Would be retarded for him take more risky throws on his first start off the bench on an early week game. He's not Aaron Rodgers and even Jimmy with his accuracy on a good day wouldn't try that often.

Well San Jose wants Nick back:
Great stuff.
Love that we have Mullens basically for the next two seasons cheap. Great situation. Gives us time to truly see who we really have in our quarterback room right now, and I mean everyone.

Kyle said Mullens came from spread offense in college. His drop back and progression are pretty good in year 2, considering.
The Raiders tried to blitz a few times and he handled them well

Jimmy G has been shown to get injured, it would be insane not to sign Mullens up right now. This is your backup, the offense wouldn't miss a beat if Jimmy G couldn't play.

I've said it before and I'll say it again (and I'm not the only one), Mullens appeared to be the better QB in preseason, over Beathard, and he showed it again on Thursday. Kyle just can't admit it to himself, he's so enamored of CJ's "toughness". Yeah, ok, we get it, he's one of the toughest players he's seen. Fine, but we've seen what he can and can't do. Now let's see what Mullens can do by giving him another start. See if the Raiders game was a fluke, or if he's the real deal, as many think.

If he plays well the rest of the season, I would be very tempted to trade him. He's only owed $570,000 next season, but it's the last season on his contract.
If a team is only willing to offer us a 3rd, then I would keep him. He'd have to play very well the rest of the season to be worth more.

No team in their right mind would give a 3rd for Nick Mullens right now. The Bills are my leading candidates.

The Bills can't give up on Josh Allen this soon, IMO.
I think the Giants and Broncos are the most likely.
