The Bills can't give up on Josh Allen this soon, IMO.

Agree

It's not Allen's fault. They had a passable starting QB in Tyrod Taylor and 2 1st round picks. They were 2017 playoff team. Now look. That's why they might be stupid enough to do it.

If he plays well the rest of the season, I would be very tempted to trade him. He's only owed $570,000 next season, but it's the last season on his contract.

If a team is only willing to offer us a 3rd, then I would keep him. He'd have to play very well the rest of the season to be worth more.

WTF! After a two year investment, we look like we've finally developed a backup that can think fast, read defenses, works hard, has mastered Kyle's offense, and win, and after one single game, you want to get rid of him? Beathard proves you need a backup quarterback that can win in this league, and he proved he ain't him.

Johnny Unitas was released by Pittsburgh without ever getting a chance, and Kurt Warner was released by GB without ever getting a chance, and both won NFL championships with other teams. Mullens just got a chance, and we've been given a clue he might be a keeper.

Beam me up, Scotty.
I haven't crowned Mullens yet , but I have been telling close friends that I wanted to see him play for the past couple of weeks. Beathard has played roughly 12 games and we all have seen how much he has progressed. I would like to see Mullens finish out the season and get some real NFL experience and we will find out the good or the bad of it. I like the idea that we will have two back up QB's with some experience come the next offseason. With our RB's being so depleted we will need someone able to quickly process and release.

Great stuff.

Love that we have Mullens basically for the next two seasons cheap. Great situation. Gives us time to truly see who we really have in our quarterback room right now, and I mean everyone.

Nick is guaranteed locked up through 2020 because he is an exclusive rights RFA meaning no other team can negotiate with him until 2021. And depending on the deal, would need to confirm with AB, we might even have him locked up through 2021 as well. Depends on the contract terms. Bottom line. Mullens ain't going anywhere if he keep this up.

That side arm throw belongs to Jimmy. How dare he!

Cut him
He's supposed to be 6'1 but I like the way he gets the ball up, over the Oline, and down to the receiver. Unlike CJ BatDown

Nick Mullens broke all of Bret Favre's college records. Jerry Granville said it would take a plane crash for him to play Favre. Then Favre threw four passes for him, and the first one was a pick 6. He had two interceptions, one sack, and zero completions in his four passes before he was traded to Green Bay.

Nick also has a better start to his NFL career than Favre.

And Garoppolo, as I see a lot of stuff that belongs to Brady in him.
I have seen enough of CJ to know he isn't the guy. With better talent around him, he could be Alex Smith mold. Not saying Mullen's is a keeper either, but I definitively know CJ isn't the guy.

Gezzus, I remembered that moment in the game. You can see the arm strength, but such doofus decision making. Didn't think he would amount to anything like Glanville.

Thought Wolfe made a huge mistake trading for him and got Holmgren to develop Favre. Holmgren came from the Niners where it's all about sound decision making from the qb -- that's not Favre.

I don't think that dynamic relationship ever totally mixed. Always seemed more of tug and pull between them.

I quoted Bill Walsh on here before though I don't know who got it.

Just good enough to get you beat.

Is Mullens 4 real?? Let's hope he is able to release that ball with added pressure. We will get to see if Mullens is a hidden gem or a wonderful back up to JimmyG. Win-win!
