Let's hope Mullens is the real deal so we can trade him for a 2nd round pick this offseason

If Mullens balls out the rest of the season the only one that should be sent packing is Beathard
What kind of team control do we have on Mullens after this season?

Wrong. The worst defense is Tampa.

Next 2 games is giants then tampa, Mullens might build up his confidence even more.

Say Mullens goes out and wins 4-5 games to close the soft part of this season. Is that what you think his worth is then?
The Seahawks and bears games will be no joke, can't wait to see how he does
If Mullens wins five straight like Jimmy, he'd be worth at least two second rounders in my opinion. But I wouldn't want to trade him honestly.

Under contract through 2019. Then becomes ERFA, meaning no team can negotiate with him except us. So essentially we have him through 2020 if we want him.
Why hasn't Shanahan named him starter yet?
Assuming he ends up showing some consistency, we need to keep him. Must have a back-up that can come in and win. His field vision and decision making seems to be better than CJ. With Shanahan's offense and game planning, it's a must to have these traits. You don't need to be Roger's.
Obviously Mullens had a great game against the Raiders. Lets not forget though that among all of the Brett Favre records he broke at Southern Miss was one for interceptions. He had a couple during preseason as I recall and almost had one against the Raiders. I have no problem with him getting the start against the Giants if that's the way Shanahan decides to play it but I think it is fair to say that he probably isn't always going to look as good as he did on Thursday night.
Kyle said he didn't even find Mullens. IIRC, a scout or coach had ties to him and brought him the tape and advocated for him.

Anyone know who/they were? Props.
