Rather trade for a top rookie, not another failed qb project

That's cool remember Steve Young in Tampa though.

I do, I do remember a lot of other trades that flopped. We are going to need our picks to move up in the draft
Move up in the draft to do what?

To get the best rookie qb. My point is I rather trade for the best rookie than project Darold

Bro when this team's offensive players get healthy they will easily be competitive and will win at least 2- 3 more games. That will set up at least 7- 9 teams that need QBs ahead of them. With what's going on I don't see them selling off half the draft to draft the 4th or 5th best QB. So no, I disagree with you. I hope I am so right.

Same here. It could take years for Darnold to reinvent himself after that mess in NY.

He was a mess when he got to NY. It's just gotten worse.

Big gamble. The Niners' have proved that they don't know how to evaluate QBs.
There are people posting on this thread that I'd trust over the FO.
Darnold may be good. I'm not saying that I know, but it's certainly worth looking into.
Do you know, for example, how his pre-draft grades stacked up against the QB's on this class?
He might be another Stafford. He's got the goods; he may just need a good OC and the Niners may have the best.
I don't understand the hate for our BACKUP quarterback. Especially not when he's playing without so many weapons....Kittle, Aiyuk, Deebo, Mostert, etc.. Not to mention Trent Williams.

We still would have lost today with Mahomes under center, but you guys have unrealistic expectations of a backup QB in an impossible situation.

Highly doubt we end up 7-9. We'll end up 5-11 or 6-10 at best. I'd rather them leapfrog everyone and trade next years 1st and something else to get one of the top prospects. A good QB would be worth that price.

The Webzone hates all 49er QB until they move on and then they love them again. The better the QB the more the hate. Get with the program dude

I don't want Darnold - he's no better than Mullens and Beathard.

I think it time the 49ers move on from Mullens. He is not reliable. Misses too many deep passes and throws too many picks and doesnt throw it away enough and gets sacked.

I doubt CJ would have fared any better considering the circumstances.
So, no Championship?
