1) when he was given a new system last year in the spring, he kinda acted like a jerk and fought the implementation (this by the way is where is personality is called into question). Now, maybe the system sucked, and it did very poorly last year after Rosen was hurt. But the offense as a whole outside of Rosen was a complete joke. A lot of kids that kicked ass in high school but seem not to be able to put it together in college. And this is NOT on Rosen, whom I believe is very talented.

2) Rosen hurt a nerve in his throwing shoulder. This has me very concerned about his recovery and the probability he reinjures and never recovers. This point has me the most concerned as in the NFL, it just takes one wrong hit. See- Matt Leinart: broke his color bone, kept re-breaking it. And for those that think Leinart would never have been capable, he did put together some good rookie games, then Wiz took over, and then he got hurt. But Leinart didn't help himself either soooo he shares a lot of blame regarding his flameout.

Last I read about his injury it was labeled a soft tissue injury...Bucky Brooks was just talking about how he was lighting it up a couple weeks ago in practice. It will be something to monitor for sure

I've seen that but I must make this clear, the "word" and I do trust this information, is there was some damage to the nerve. Now, damage could mean the nerve area was bruised, in which case, he really dodged a bullet, or the nerve itself was damaged. And if the nerve itself has suffered some damage, there will be strength and /or accuracy issues. We won't know until the season starts. Either way, if that o-line seriously doesn't pull their collective heads out of their asses, Rosen may end up injured again this season. And I hate seeing kids get hurt.

It'll all come to light during the draft process(if he declares). This is from a Peter King MMQ article:

One anonymous AFC scouting director isn't too keen on Rosen.

"I think all three (this year) are bottom 10 starters, maybe Mahomes with his upside creeps in to the bottom 15," he told King. "The kid from USC has a chance; Rosen has a ton of ability but tons of issues, like dedication, to work through. And the Wyoming kid is a big, talented player. It's a good group. It should be much better than this group."

A second executive, also from the AFC, has a similar take.

• Rosen: "He's the one I know the best—he's got size, athletic tools, velocity. He's just a mess off the field and he's coming off the injury. He needs to grow up, but the talent is off the charts."

Apparently, his attitude cost him a scholarship to Stanford, his dream school:

"Multiple accounts say it was that demeanor that cost him a scholarship offer to Stanford, his dream school, when he visited Palo Alto for a camp before his junior season two years ago," reports Kaufman. "He was perceived to be overbearing."

Rosen was never offered by Stanford. The quarterback faces his former "dream school" on Thursday night.

I appreciate his candor

"The NFL should be more worried about pensions than CTE," Rosen says. "In the NFL, when you have guys run into each other head-on, full speed, s--t is going to happen. But at least they're getting paid millions of dollars. In college, they've been running head-to-head into each other for what, an education? You see the irony? That's what you're supposed to be using your head for, an education.

"If you have CTE by the time you're 60, but you're a millionaire up to that point, awesome. But if you're medically retired from football because of concussions in college and never saw a cent of anything, and all you got was a scholarship, and you're supposed to be academically sound but you have headaches the rest of your life that affect your work, that's f--ked up."

It was during a scouts.com podcast discussion. But a lot of the dudes on the team have mentioned this. Not widely printed as you can imagine. But it's out there.

Kid is talented a fook. But his attitude is well documented.

Basically, attitude wise, he's the anti-Darnold.

Also have been reports questioning his work ethic which is really scary if there is any validity to them. There isnt a positon where great work ethic matters more than quarterback.

If you think you've arrived and are too cool for school, you will have a rude awakening in the NFL, no matter how talented you are.

The guy is just sooooo talented... really hope he pulls his head out of his ass. He wasn't at the PAC-12 media day. I have a feeling his mouth is why.

I don't care about him being opinionated or political, a lot of guys would support him but if its a case where he thinks he is better than he actually is and acts like it, then that is no good.

It will all become clearer around draft time but the stuff that I would be concerned about involves work ethic and his ability to relate to and work with teammates and coaches.

Great read...I wouldn't be upset if he was our QB of the future

It sounds like Rosen is a real-life "Bo Callahan" IF that's anywhere near accurate then I say pass on this guy.

Love the attitude and knowledge he has in life this kid for a 19yr old is very mature. Article should put some questions to rest. 👍
