As great as that come back was, he made a ton of questionable throws and some of those touchdown passes were pure luck. If he pulled that s**t in the NFL, he would have a ton of Interceptions.

CJ Beathard = which QB prospect? Feel free to fill in the blank.
I haven't studied the QBs with mediocre arms and poor stats yet...
Not any of the top 5-6 QBs for sure.

The one thing I didn't like about Allen, he was rattled by the 4th quarter. You have to remember Wyoming was out matched on paper. They had to play a near perfect game to win. Out of all the top QB's Allen's team was the only one out matched before the game.
Poor mechanics, questionable decision making, haven't seen him being very patient in the pocket. His upside is pretty much all physical ability, big arm, athleticism, size.....etc. In general he's just very inconsistent and you're not sure what you will get from one game to the next.

Find me a college QB which that doesn't apply to. Earlier this year I watched Deshaun Watson randomly chucking up throws that Mike Williams simply outworked the defenses for. You're not going to find one of these QB's that isn't making a number of mistakes that will need to be corrected at the next level. They are college QB's after all, they will make throws that NFL defenses would eat up, but that is what you have NFL coaching for.
Rosen wasn't perfect but he showed a tremendous amount of resiliency and toughness. Those are the things you are looking for. His team got down, the defense was selling out to stop the pass and he kept firing away, making throw after throw under pressure. More than the stat line, the final score, what scouts are going to be looking at is how the guy Cowboy'd the f**k up and led his team to a huge comeback, even if every throw along the way wasn't perfect based on NFL standards.

If you want to go in the top 5 then you cant be making throws like Rosen did yesterday and Watson did last year.

I'm not saying anyone is better or worse than him, I'm just saying i wasn't overly impressed because it was sloppy. I was hoping he would look more pro ready.
Depending on how much he love the game, which will directly affect how much he studies and trains as an NFL QB, he could be a really good NFL QB. No doubt. he has the Pro Package. Time will tell.
I personally like Darnold but man did he look pretty bad this first game.

Didnt stop Jameis Winston who had plenty of questionable throws his final season, among others.

Wintson had a 40-10 season in college while winning the National Title & Heisman Trophy. So if Rosen can pull that off then sure he will probably be the #1 pick.

He doesn't need to win a title. Winston had a far better supporting cast than Rosen has. All these QBs are still in play for the #1 pick. We're only one game into the season.

It is a team game, not an individual game. There is no comparison between the talent Rosen has on his offense and what Winston was working with. You went off on the same tangent with Mitch Trubisky last season and it didn't stop him from going earlier than Watson.

Yeah, Winstons team was super stacked. I believe the year Winston was recruited to FSU, it was the number 1 draft class in the country by some sites. Multiple first rounders that are good in the NFL already.
