Wasn't impressed with Rosen last year. I thought he was a little overhyped compared to his actual ability when I saw him play. I'll give him another look.

He was also hurt most of last year, his line sucked worse than what we saw last Sunday in Levi, and his receivers led the PAC in dropped passes.
Rosen has talent and is the real deal... Which is hard for me to say as a SC guy.

Well he only played 6 games but I don't get what you are looking at if your not impressed. His mechanics are pretty much untouchable. Tough and he is highly competitive. Checks off a bunch of boxes for me.

Still getting into it. Haven't seen them all. I pretty much pretend the first 2-3 weeks of the college season don't exist for 1st round talent evals -- unless there are big time matchups.
That said -- I like Darnold the most thus far. He's got nearly every trait you're looking for in a franchise QB. Not without risk of course. Throwing motion and early picks this year being areas of concern.
Josh Allen is a total wildcard to me. Extremely hard to project small program kid to the NFL level. But even I have to admit the tools are there. I'll be interested to see how it plays out the remainder of this year.
I'm not sure where the "toughness" comes in when talking about Rosen -- I thought he was a p***y last year when he played. Maybe it was due to injury. Maybe he went full David Carr due to his line. Either way, it sure wasn't toughness that I saw. That said, more than happy to take another look with a revised 2017 roster. No complaints about his mechanics. Still concerned about his coachability -- which will be vetted in the offseason.
I think Luke Falk is a complete joke. Dude has 4 (5?) documented concussions. Can't throw for s**t when the pressure is on. And relies almost completely on his offensive scheme to get WRs open. I think he's a less talented version of Carson Palmer. Has mid round flyer written all over him. I would never stake the franchise on a kid like that. He's a guy you bring in and hope he finds himself after sitting on the bench for four years. But if he doesn't, you can cut him and not think a thing of it.
I love Lamar Jackson -- in college. I don't dispute he has the physical tools to get it done in the NFL. My concern is the same concern that will be shared with NFL GMs -- his frame is not one that holds up well in NFL play. Would I place the franchise in his hands if I thought he was a lock to miss significant time each season? Probably not.

you question Josh Rosen's toughness.? The guy has had a turnstile offensive line for most of his college career and he stands in the pocket and takes those hits and gets off those throws. The guy is tough as nails

You give UCLA's line too much credit... turnstile is an understatement... Three 40 Lb girlscouts hopped up on pixy sticks would shatter their souls.

Yeah you don't make a 40 point comeback without having toughness, regardless of who you're going against.

So you like Darnold and I have nothing against Darnold but if your more okay with Darnolds very flawed mechanics and have yet to really elaborate on why you don't like Rosen other than his coachability and toughness then that's questionable. Rosen has played injured and hurt most of his collegiate career due to the his team fielding 6v11. In Texas A&M he got absolutely destroyed and was beat physically but coming back in that game showed he wasn't beat mentally.

Bro. We're not even halfway through September. Absolutely nothing is nailed down. And nobody has to be locked into their evaluations of any trait on any player.
