You don't have to be fast to elude the rush.

True,. But ability to run when needed is sometimes a real asset.

Rosen isn't a statue lol he doesn't need 4.6 speed to run for a 1st. He has phenomenal footwork, which is way more important than being fast. That's how guys like Brady and Manning get rarely get sacked despite being slow as f**k.

Just pointing out that with all his assets and skills as a passer, he lacks the mobility and foot speed of Darnold and Allen. That doesn't mean they are better QBs, but just one factor to consider. Seems like there are a lot of very defensive people on this board.

Some are reaching comparing Rosen to Manning who was a much better and refined prospect who's intangibles were off the charts or Brady who's passion made him a GOAT where some scouts today are still questioning Rosen's actual commitment and passion for football and he's already shown he struggles to stay healthy in college imagine him trying to play hero ball (an issue he has) with a guy like Suh getting ready to unload on his scrawny physique.

He is by no means a perfect prospect. He just happens to be my favorite qb this year, plus I personally feel he is the best fit for Kyles offense. His maturity and work ethic could scream Ryan Leaf, but I'm hoping the combine and private workouts can answer those questions. I won't go ballistic if they pass on him.

But this could all be moot if we manage to get Cousins. Then Barkley will be the prize.
So who are the latest legit top 7 players on the big board currently?

Don't be surprised when this guy stays another year. He's only 20 years old.

With Mora at the Helm at UCLA is highly doubtful not to mention the injury factor its not worth it. He's the #1 QB and most ready to start year 1.

LOL yeah right....dude is getting mauled out there. There's zero reasons for him to stay another yr, especially knowing his gonna be a top 5 pick.

Rosen (unlike Darnold) has had a great deal more consistency and far less talent around him. I'm a SC guy and I'll tell ya, Rosen is dumb to stay. He's top five if not number one.

in no order who I'm thinking...

Rosen- QB
Barkley-RB
Fitzpatrick-DB
McGlinchey-OT
Chubb-DE
James-S
Key-DE/OLB
Williams-OT
Wilkins-DE
R Smith-LB

I could throw Darnold on that list but I don't think he declares...also won't be surprised if L Jackson goes high based on upside and position (browns might love him).

He's my top pick for us without question...Rosen's style of QB play screams Shanny. IF we don't land Kirk do whatever it takes to get Rosen.

I could see us swapping picks with the browns and they would take Lamar Jackson. They need some excitement and Hue loves those dynamic QBs.

BUT if we get Kirk I'm totally cool with getting Barkley (he's the best RB I've seen in a very long time).
If I were him I'd stay if the Browns have the #1 pick.

Or pull an Elway / Jackson. Honestly, at this point, all first overall picks should do this with the Browns. F' that franchise, they're actually worse than the 80's / 90's Trardnals.

Very solid, Nelson might be "the most elite for his position".
