Lots of reports of him of him being an ass off the field, not a very easy to deal with personality, similar stuff to what came out about Connor Cook. That is definitely something that teams will be looking at come draft time.

Some of it could just be an immature kid who comes from an extremely privileged background finding his way but its always a concern when you hear reports about a QB having maturity issues.

The "maturity" issues do concern me, but until I hear about drug problems (Manziel), it seems pretty minor.

You said the same thing about Cook and it seems for the NFL those issues did matter. Rosen is a much more talented quarterback but there will be teams who will take a hard pass if they don't think his work ethic and attitude towards teammates and coaches is where it should be for the leader of their team.

What are you talking about? Cook isn't even going to get a chance to show the NFL what he's got for a few years on the Raiders w/ Carr there. You're talking about the guy in the past tense; he's 24.

I heard about Rosen's maturity issues, but I haven't seen anything that makes me think he's going to go all Matt Leinart on us. I don't follow the guy extremely closely off the field though; maybe there is.

While I do think the maturity thing is a issue with Rosen and I've heard and read a lot of what Phoenix is talking about. It could be Cook 2.0 from a maturity standpoint.

One thing I read this off season from Rosen is that he seems to be a little more humbled after his injury. I think he had a realization that the game can be taken away from you at any moment and you only get some many chances. It's gonna be fun to watch all of these QBs this yr.

idk ive heard some of that chatter from non-UCLA people on facebook comment sections but i dont think its true. I live here in LA, im a big UCLA fan who follows the team closely and i have friends who work for the school...never heard anything about him being a diva or personality issues.

Also, my high school played Josh Rosen at John Bosco every year and even then he never had that reputation.

IMO, i think Rosen has just rubbed people the wrong way because he is outspoken politically. Like when he wore that "F*** Trump" hat at the Trump golf course. Those people are quick to slap him with personality issues when he does things like putting a jacuzzi in his dorm room.

All bias aside, I think Darnold is the best prospect. Better than my dude Browning.

lmao at thinking browning is better than Rosen. GTFO

Darnold is pretty good but i need to see more. Im sure it will be a good competition for Rosen and Darnold to see who is the best in the pacific

He is better.

i dont see it. Browning had an amazing cast around him.

Browning to me is 3rd round QB. Smart guy but that arm is weak.

I admit, I'm biased.
Very nice of Bakersfield's son NinerSickness to bold all names of folks he references. So courteous.

I don't think Browning's arm is as bad as people say. Honestly, I think the Niners could get the same production from a guy like Browning as they get from Kirk Cousins. Or at least very similar. And they'd save like 100 million dollars.

I don't think there's a huge difference between Falk, Browning & Cousins.

Rosen is a future star, though. Until I hear he has a drug problem, I'm not extremely worried about his personality.

I've seen Browning practice in person. His arm is worse than weak. The ball hangs in the air forever on outbreak in routes. He got picked 2-3 times in team, and there should've been two more. Huskies have a FAST defense, for sure, but they were feasting on those ducks he was sending up.

I think that might be an overstatement. Seems like Alex Smith 2.0 t' me,

Football season is almost upon us I have a huge soft spot for UCLA so I will be rooting for them.

Of course you have to pick a play where Ross has the CB completely turned around and is open by a mile. If the CB drives on that ball, he gets there. There is no zip on that ball, which should be traveling on a line (who the hell needs to put air under a quick out?). He's smart, and he's a winner. I think the Colt McCoy comparison is accurate.

I was going to post something similar. I think it's hilarious that the video chosen is a throw any division 1 QB could make (and most could make better).

Browning still has Pettis who should be a 2nd or 3rd round NFL pick so he won't be completely exposed without John Ross, but his stats are going to take a dive. He's a great QB to have when your team is overwhelmingly more talented than the other team. Not such a great QB to have when your WRs suck and you're forced to throw the ball into tight windows (49ers the past couple years). Colt McCoy is a fair comparison.
