Okay, so, updated!

We're sitting at 41.5% Baalkification, which is way better than I guessed we'd be at a couple of months ago. Really impressive job by Shanny, Lynch, and Co. We're faster (as Lynch recently noted), but I'll submit something else is vastly different: The Culture of the Locker Room. I think some cuts were made not from a talent perspective, but rather a Locker Room perspective.

Go Niners!

Maybe if we would have fired or put pressure on Baalke when we should have, instead of the blindingly praising after years of flops during a Super Bowl run we would have 6?

My point? I don't care who it is.. If they aren't doing their job. Bye... I don't want this b******t to happen again. Where politics gets to choose and not winners.. Where we end up causing years of damage..

I hope this franchise learns from it's self inflicted mistakes because I dont have time for b******t like this..

Life if short I need to see 6 before I go..

Good post Wu...but i see one thing quite differently. You don't want to see this b.s happen again. I on the other hand, am absolutlely amazed that it got fixed. I was CERTAIN, as in no doubt, that we would never be a team to reckon with again, without a change in ownership...and i did NOT expect that to happen. My guess was we never won anything again until Yorks were adios. Then the weirdest thing happened.

Denise or somebody of consequence hired Lynch to tell her WTF was wrong wiht our team. Then the fuzzy part, then THEY(??) hire kyle as HC, and he agrees later to get LYnch as GM...or did they hire Lynch as GM after he had done the trouble shooting of all the teams woes first? Who knows who hired who, but dang did it ever work out good for us. And taht is something I NEVER Would have bet on. So you didn't want anymore of the B.s and i didn't think we would ever get better without ownership change. And look what happened.

I guess you never say never, but did this hire/arrangement ever surprise the heck out of me. And it was fado, or F8 that brot these two guys here.

If Baalke would have been fired instead of Harbaugh, and Harbaugh would have picked his own GM, I think he'd have picked a good GM but generally a GM that would have catered to his needs. I think between Harbaugh and an unknown GM vs ShanaLynch, I'd pick ShanaLynch. One reason is the fact that Kyle learned defense under Monte Kiffen and Gruden and that Tampa Two and then worked with Gus and the 4-3 under. Then you add John Lynch who is a winner everywhere he's been and knows all those defensive schemes not only from an X's and O's point of view but from personally playing in those schemes. So he knows exactly the kind of players that will work on those defenses. So I think this group would be ahead of Harbaugh on the X's and O's on both sides of the ball. It's still a long way until ShanaLynch equals the success of HaarBaalke, but I think the relationship between the two's are only going to get better, whereas the HaarBaalke relationship just steadily got worse and worse.

So you'd pick a duo that hasn't head coached or gm'd one regular season game vs a coach who's taken a team to the NFCC 3 times with a piss poor gm??
Lol
Ok....

Hey, I'm hoping for the best from lynch and Kyle, but they haven't accomplished even ONE WIN YET...

We can say that pretty f**king confidently. Missing two push starters in Smith and Garnett too. Great IR stash coming in next year along with 6 picks in the first 3 rounds and getting a 4th back. Things are looking VERY promising to tag along with 100+ million in cap space next year as well

Lynch became a coin flip because it's a need position with little quality depth. Generally, out of shape guys that serve league suspensions, should be automatically capped by new regimes.... This was a painful keep.

Looks like someone else is keeping tabs:

http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/new-faces-dominate-49ers-2017-opening-day-roster

Of the 66 players on the roster, 1 is from the Scot/Nolan era (1.5%), 28 from Baalke (42.5%) and 37 from ShanaLynch (56%).

Another good breakdown would be of starters and that would include nickel/dime, ST and specialty staters on offense.

??? you do realize that Asa Jackson was promoted, right?
The 2016 49ers were a mess, and that is evidenced by the fact that the team only kept 16 players from the 2016 roster on the 2017 team.
